SO posted strong Q1 results, with Non-GAAP EPS of $1.23 and revenue of $7.78 billion, driven by state-regulated utility investments and weather-related factors. While the company witnessed a degrowth in retail demand, it was more than offset by the commercial and industrial demand.

Fidelity National Information Services (FIS) came out with quarterly earnings of $1.21 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.20 per share. This compares to earnings of $1.10 per share a year ago.
