Vodafone share price has done well in the past few years and is now hovering around its highest level since 2018 as the turnaround strategy pays off. VOD jumped after the management unveiled a plan to launch a TV service as it seeks to challenge its top rivals.

Vodafone Group NASDAQ: VOD used its annual general meeting in London to highlight progress in its multiyear transformation, including the integration of Three UK, portfolio changes in Europe and Africa, and a return to dividend growth.

Vodafone share price continued the recent recovery after the company published strong financial results and boosted its guidance. VOD jumped to 120p, up by 23% from its lowest level this month.

The U.K. telecommunications company said its key earnings metric should come in at the upper end of the new outlook.

Vodafone Group PLC (LSE:VOD) said it expects to reach the upper end of its upgraded annual guidance after getting off to a strong start to its financial year. Organic service revenue increased 5.2% in the first quarter, with growth recorded across every segment, and inching up from 5.1% in the final quarter of the past year.

London's FTSE 100 was little changed on Monday as gains in oil majors helped offset weakness in financial shares, leaving investors to weigh the market impact of renewed US-Iran military exchanges. The blue-chip index edged up 0.03% to 10,499.88 points by 0927 GMT, while the domestically focused FTSE 250 slipped 0.1%.

Shares of Vodafone Group (NASDAQ:VOD | VOD Price Prediction) are up 12.7% in Friday midday trading, changing hands near $14.74 after opening from a prior close of $13.08.

London's FTSE 100 edged higher on Friday, supported by strong gains in Vodafone and easyJet following major corporate developments. However, renewed tensions in the Middle East continued to weigh on investor sentiment, limiting broader market gains.

London's FTSE 100 inched up on Friday, supported by deal-driven gains in Vodafone and easyJet, though Middle East tensions kept a lid on further upside.
