Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about Tiblio.

General

What is Tiblio?

Tiblio is an options trading analysis platform that helps you find, track, and automate options trades. It uses historical volatility analysis to surface high-probability setups nightly, and connects to your existing broker for live data and automated execution.

Do I need options trading experience?

Some basic knowledge of options helps. You should understand what puts, calls, and premiums are before diving in. If you're brand new to options, start with the Options Strategies Explained page and the Quick Start Guide.

Is Tiblio a broker?

No. Tiblio is an analysis and automation platform. You need an existing brokerage account to trade. Tiblio connects to your broker via OAuth to pull live data and (optionally) place orders on your behalf through Roger.

Account & Billing

How much does Tiblio cost?

Tiblio offers a single Trader plan that gives you access to all features: the screener, watchlist, journal, portfolio analytics, option bots, alerts, and Telegram agent.

How do I manage my subscription?

Go to Settings > Billing to view your plan, update payment information, or manage your subscription.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your data (watchlist, journal entries, bot configurations) is retained. If you resubscribe, everything will be there as you left it.

Broker Connections

Which brokers are supported?

Charles Schwab, Tradier, TradeStation, tastytrade, and Alpaca. See Supported Brokers for details on each.

Is my broker data safe?

Yes. Tiblio uses OAuth 2.0 — your broker password is never shared with or stored by Tiblio. Access tokens are encrypted at rest. You can revoke access at any time from your broker's settings.

My broker connection shows an error — what do I do?

Go to Settings > Brokers, disconnect the broker, and reconnect by going through the OAuth flow again. Tokens occasionally expire, especially after a broker password change.

Can I use Tiblio without a broker?

Yes. The screener works with end-of-day data, the journal is fully manual, and the watchlist shows delayed data. A broker unlocks live quotes, real-time Greeks, live alerts, and automated trading.

Can I connect multiple brokers?

You can connect one broker at a time. If you want to switch, disconnect the current one and connect the new one.

Screener

How often is the screener data updated?

The screener data is refreshed nightly. The HV Pipeline runs overnight and recomputes all screen types with the latest market data. In Live Mode (with a connected broker), prices and Greeks update in real time during market hours.

What does the setup score mean?

It's a composite ranking that combines edge %, return %, return/day, theta efficiency, and win rate into a single number. Higher is better. See the Screener Metrics Glossary for full details.

What is Live Mode?

When your broker is connected, Live Mode overlays real-time bid/ask prices and Greeks on top of the nightly screener data. It's most useful during market hours (9:30 AM – 4:00 PM ET).

Why do some symbols have no results?

The screener filters aggressively — it only shows contracts that meet minimum premium ($0.15), delta range, and DTE requirements. If a stock's options don't pass these filters, it won't appear.

Trading & Automation

Does Tiblio place trades for me?

Only through the Roger Option Bot, and only after you explicitly configure and activate a bot. Tiblio never places trades without your setup and consent.

What is Roger?

Roger is Tiblio's automated trading bot. It monitors the screener for setups matching your criteria and places orders through your connected broker. See Roger Option Bot.

Can I paper trade first?

Yes. Connect a TradeStation Sim account to use all automation features with simulated money. This is the recommended approach before going live.

Can I use the journal without trading through Tiblio?

Absolutely. The journal is designed for manual entry — log trades you execute directly through your broker's own platform.

Data & Privacy

What data does Tiblio store?

Your account information, watchlist, journal entries, bot configurations, alert preferences, and encrypted broker tokens. Tiblio does not store your broker password or have access to your bank accounts.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Most pages (screener, watchlist, journal, portfolio) include a CSV export button that downloads the current view.

Where is my data hosted?

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security. The API runs on Docker and the frontend is served via Vercel.
